Supervision at Become Whole isn't about producing clinicians who work the way we work. It's about helping each resident find how they work, and making sure it's safe, ethical, and defensible while they find it. In practice that means a few things. We ask residents to bring the case they're avoiding, because that's the one supervision is for. Feedback comes early and plainly, while something is still a coaching problem and not a licensure problem. We treat documentation as clinical thinking rather than paperwork. And we talk directly about culture, power, and identity — the resident's as much as the client's. Our supervisors build and own their own curricula, so residents learn from someone who has spent a career in that specialty rather than from a shared script. What stays constant is the standard: ten competencies, reviewed every quarter, with nothing about a resident's progress ever arriving as a surprise.
